Event Disclaimers

Event promoters, educators, mentors or coaches who host online or offline programs and anyone else who conducts or coordinates an activity for others to attend is holding an event. Even at the best organised events, sometimes things go wrong.

To help you avoid claims from participants for refunds, reduce the chance of people copying the event content and trying to sell it themselves, and ensure you have permission to use recordings made at the event, you should have people agree to a disclaimer before they enter.

Each disclaimer covers important issues such as event inclusions and policies, ownership of intellectual property, limitation of liability and consent.
